Spec Rundown Action The Kawai CN301 uses the RH III action that incorporates a triple sensor with a Let-Off mechanism, as well as counterweights, plus improved engineering that includes a more reinforced back hinge as well as improved key cushioning along with many other features. Pedals The 301 includes the grand feel pedal system, matching the feel and function of the pedals on a grand piano. Tone Engine and Piano Tones The tone engine is the Progressive Harmonic Imaging Engine, which includes 88 key stereo sampling, 256 note polyphony, and the original SK-EX sample set along with the SK5, the EX and the K60 upright. In addition to the four base sample sets are nine iterations of those samples for a total of 13 piano patches. Other Tones The CN301 also comes with 32 extra instrumental sounds, including electric pianos, strings, vocal pad and bass among others.
