🌟 [ 33 ]   ‘He will be back’: Josh Frydenberg tipped to make political comeback [ @Sky News Australia ]

Sky News host Chris Kenny expects Josh Frydenberg to make a return to politics within the next ten years after the former treasurer was defeated in Kooyong at the last federal election by Monique Ryan. The landmark investigation ‘Liberals in Power’ explores a tumultuous nine years of government under the Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison prime ministerships. Mr Kenny sat down with Mr Frydenberg for the investigation to ask the former deputy Liberal leader whether he would return to politics. “I have known Josh a long time, I first worked with him in politics 21 years ago I suppose, and he is certainly not ruling it out,” Mr Kenny said. “My instinct says he will be back for sure, in fact I think if it was a lay down misere for him to win back Kooyong at the next election, he would probably be coming back at the next election, but who could guarantee that the Liberals would win that seat of Kooyong back this time. “I think he is going to take his time, concentrate on his business career and his family for a while and . I will expect sometime in the next ten years, surely, Josh Frydenberg will go back into parliament.” Mr Kenny added that he believes the Liberal Party would want the former treasurer to return to politics, potentially identifying him as a future prime minister. “I just don’t see that hunger from Josh Frydenberg disappearing,” he said.
