But Longines also is going into the future with their Spirit and Conquest (Hydroconquest) lines with the ever popular Spirit Zulu Time and the Hydroconquest GMT, that can compare to the likes of Tudor.

However, one of the very first reissues was the 42mm Legend Diver, an incredible looking super compressor dive watch from the 1960’s. This is a watch that has been out for a while and it has been on my wishlist for many years but for some reason I never got around to buying one. Thankfully that somewhat changed when my cousin bought one last year, but it made me wonder if I would have chosen the original 42mm Legend Diver over the newly released 39mm version.

So in this video I’m going to get into the details of the 42mm Legend Diver, the dial, case, bezel, strap, and more. But I will also get into why I think that in 2024 the original 42mm Legend Diver is still a better buy and a better value proposition, but I will also get into how the 42mm version exposes how overpriced the 39mm Legend Diver really is.
