Remembrance service tribute and history of Canadian Memorial United Church (CMUC) on Remembrance Day. For Remembrance Day, we have a multimedia presentation by the Burrard Story Guild telling the founding story of Canadian Memorial United Church and of Rev. Colonel G.O. Fallis, who built the sanctuary as a memorial to those who served and died in World War I. The Last Post is also performed at the remembrance service. Books of Remembrance will be open to display after the service. This is the only other copies of the Books of Remembrance outside of Ottawa. The Books of Remembrance contain the names of all Canadians who served and died in World War I, II and the Korean War. This year, the books will be open for display on November 6, 2022 from noon to 1:00 pm. You ll be invited to light a candle with us during the service, so you may wish to get one ready now.
