An official announcement regarding the same will be out in the coming days. Adipurush is a mythological drama based on the epic Ramayana. The film features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in lead roles. The film was made on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore by T-Series Films and Retriphiles. Directed by Om Raut, the film is one of the most expensive movies in India. By Janani K: Prabhas Adipurush was slated for a grand release on January 12, 2023. However, that s not the case anymore. Reports were rife that the film was being postponed indefinitely for multiple reasons. It is rumoured that the Adipurush team is re-working on the film s visual effects. Also, there are reports doing the rounds that none of the Pongal releases are keen on backing out of the race.
