Once again, it s Wednesday, so it s time for another installment of Western New York Wednesday here on the channel. This week, I m reviewing another beer from the Ithaca Beer Company, and it s their Fuggly Sweater, the 2022 release. This is a Dark Lager that is brewed with ginger, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon. I ve been eyeing this one for a few years, and never picked it up, so I thought this year was the time to grab it and give it a proper review. Let s see how it is! Commercial Description: Twill be the fuggliest time of the year, so we joyously present our gift to this year s season . Fuggly Sweater. Fuggly Sweater is a dark lager brewed to inspire the holiday favorite, gingerbread. The wide range of specialty malts create yummy cookie and cake qualities. The presentation is dark, but not opaque, with brown hues. Ginger is at center stage, and as with traditional gingerbread, a light amount of cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon round out the spice profile.
