Join us as we feature Team New Balance Boston, a world-class international track club that is making waves in the running world. 2021 was a standout year for the team with three Olympians including Elle Purrier St. Pierre who captured the US 1500m title. 2022 got off to a solid start during the indoor season but saw some challenges with injuries, COVID and setbacks during the outdoor season but they re more motivated than ever to chase fast times and national team berths with the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on the horizon. This year s roster consists of U.S. Olympian Heather MacLean, Canadian Olympian Julie-Anne Staehli, British champion Sarah McDonald, NCAA champion Kristie Schoffield, Millie Paladino (15:02 for 5000m), Emily Mackay (4:08.97 for 1500m), Katrina Coogan (31:56.59 for 10,000m), Irish national champion and Olympian Síofra Cléirigh Büttner, NCAA Division II champion Christian Noble, Sean Peterson (4:00.22 for the mile) and Drew Piazza (1:45.69 for 800m) on the team. For the team, a major development was the addition of the TRACK at New Balance. It is quickly taking shape as one of the premier indoor facilities in the world. The new state-of-the-art home will only further enhance the team s training and competitiveness. The team is led by 1996 Olympic marathoner and head coach Mark Coogan, Learn more about the inspiring athletes, their journeys, and the team s exciting future.
