🌟 [ 27 ]   Review: Eratos Ultimate Albinoni Box [ @The Ultimate Classical Music Guide by Dave Hurwitz ]

This 16-disc set, mostly featuring I Solisti Veneti under Claudio Scimone offers as much Albinoni as just about anyone reasonably could want. You get scads of concertos (many for oboe, strings and continuo) as well as three festive vocal works written for aristocratic occasions (most of Albinoni s full-scale operas are lost). The performances are mostly delightful, Warner/Erato s packaging gives us original jackets, and the price is very attractive. Baroque fans will be very happy to see this.
