🌟 [ 4 ]   Trick Room (Extreme Demon) by rply & ImMaxX1 [ @Viprin ]

ImMaxX1 asked me about showcasing this level, and after seeing its unique gameplay and visuals, I accepted. This definitely deserves all the attention it can get. Many Extreme Demons end up a bit boring in terms of both gameplay and visuals to me, as they often end up pretty similar. I d say this stands out a lot in both departments. The gameplay is made by ImMaxX1, while the visuals are done by rply. The level starts off quite monochrome, but it s evident that synchronization will be important from the start due to perfectly timed flashes and gameplay. Once the song picks up at 0:12, the level picks up too, featuring lots of quick movements and effects. Of course, these synchronize well to the song too. I also like how some parts mix in yellow to change up the colors. Admittedly, many of the earlier parts end up looking relatively similar due to the pink block designs and black background, but this changes at 0:36 where everything is a lot brighter. This change fits that part of the song, and it also fits in with the rest of the level due to the color choices, though. The part at 0:48 also stands out more thanks to the colorful background. All in all, rply did a great job of synchronizing the visuals to the song, and I like the changes from part to part. With this being an Extreme Demon and a showcase, there isn t too much for me to judge gameplay-wise. However, I did beat a level by ImMaxX1 recently, ACCELERATE , and I can see similarities in the gameplay here. There s a lot of verticaly and many quick portals and orbs. Of course, with this being several tiers harder, the timings are also a lot more precise. The gameplay is very satisfying to watch at least, but I know that doesn t always transfer to playing it, so we ll see how this is received in-game. With its unique visuals and gameplay and great synchronization, I could see this having good reception if it s fun too. I think it deserves an Epic Extreme Demon rating.
