Clues outside the grid give the sum of the first X digits in the direction of the clue, where X is the digit nearest to the clue. The indicated diagonals can be a single digit sum or a double digit sum. In addition, if X is greater than 1, there is also an invisible whisper line of length X that starts from the cell nearest to the clue and travels in the direction of the clue until it reaches its length (i.e. must break). Adjacent digits along a whisper line must differ by at least 5. For example, a 20 clue might be 4916 and then a 2 .
