Today, we are degreeing the camshaft in my 409ci SBC. This applies to all brands, but the difference is which side number 1 cylinder is. But this basic system is how you can degree any camshaft. You need a degree wheel, dial indicator for measuring cam lift. You can also do this on the car, but you have to use the pushrod or rocker arm to determine when it s at max lift.
