🌟 [ 10 ]   Market Close 30 Apr 24: Aussie investors cautious ahead of US key events [ @CommSecTV ]

Investors stepped carefully across the market today mindful that there’s a fair bit happening this week that could impact financial markets, especially in the US. The US central bank decides rate settings. Key earnings results from Amazon and Apple are due. And key jobs data is released. Overall, on our sharemarket today the benchmark ASX 200 index rose by just 27 points or a third of a per cent with the All Ords up 25 points or 0.3%. This followed a positive lead from US and European sharemarkets on Monday. Today, eight of the eleven industry sectors were higher with Property amongst the best and Industrials amongst the worst performers. And ahead of the key US events the Aussie dollar fell a 1/3 of a cent to 65.25 US cents.
