Opposition Leader Peter Dutton slams Labor’s “tax on the family car” as they set out to “force” Australians into buying an electric vehicle. “There is Labor’s tax on the family car and ute, you are having to fork out literally thousands of dollars more simply for choosing some of Australia’s most popular vehicles,” Mr Dutton said. “All because the government is trying to force you into buying an electric vehicle … that is your choice, and it should be restored.”
