Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has delayed his scheduled four-day visit to Japan due to health concerns regarding King Salman, according to Japan s chief government spokesperson, Yoshimasa Hayashi. The visit, originally planned to commence on Monday, would have been the crown prince’s first trip to Japan since 2019. Hayashi, speaking at a routine press briefing in Tokyo, mentioned that the two countries would arrange a new date for the visit, though he did not specify when this would occur. Indian para athlete Deepthi Jeevanji set a new world record on Monday at the Para Athletics World Championship 2024 in Kobe, Japan, by completing the women s 400m T20 category in 55.06 seconds. Jeevanji s record-breaking time of 55.06 seconds earned her the gold medal in the women s 400m T20 event. In the qualifying rounds, she advanced to the finals by setting a new Asian record with a time of 56.18 seconds. Jeevanji had previously shown her exceptional talent at the Asian Para Games 2023, where she also won gold in the women s 400m T20 event.
