The search for the cause of the P0420 trouble code continues. This is video number 4 of this series where we look for what causes the check engine light to come on in the dashboard and set the error code P0420 and P0421. We have previously done a deep troubleshooting and found that the catalytic converter should be replaced for this problem to be resolved. Also documentation from the previous owner shows that the workshop BDS wanted to replace the catalytic converter to turn off the check engine light and the code. In episode 1, you can see this deep dive into troubleshooting where we go through the most common causes of the P0420 catalytic converter efficiency is impaired. You can see this video at this link. [ 🔗 klick‼️ ] In episode 2, we replace the old, worn-out catalytic converter. It will be a change to remember. Cold on the ground, it s starting to rain, it s crowded and dirt falls into the eyes. But we manage to change the worn cat and get to fit this new, fresh catalytic converter. At the end of the video we look at the oxygen sensor B1S2 output and find that it still shows values that are not really good. You can find this section here.
